I love this time of the year! One of my favorite things about the holidays are the delicious desserts that we get to make and share with our friends and family. We discovered a new treat from Just Jenn Recipes and here is the link to the original post http://justjennrecipes.com/peanut-butter-cheerios-treats/2012/06/10/
I love Cheerios. I love them even more when they are peanut butter! This is a simple yet delicious treat that would be a great addition to any Christmas party!
Ingredients
6 cups Peanut Butter Cheerios
2 Tbsp. butter
1/3 cup peanut butter
10 oz. of regular marshmallows
1 cup chocolate chips
Grease a 9 x 13 dish with some butter. In a pot over medium-high heat, melt the butter and peanut butter together. Add the marshmallows and melt until it becomes gooey. Turn the stove off and add the Cheerios. Be sure to stir it really well so all of the cereal gets coated. Press the mixture into the greased pan and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Cut into squares and serve!
This was a hit at a gathering we had at my friend’s house. The plate was empty by the end of the night, so we knew it was a big hit! This is a great, stress-free dish that is yummy for any tummy!
